This is a block similar to the bleed blocks, but with one side stepped, so that when you "pump" the brake lever, the piston is allowed out but is stopped before it exits the caliper.
Install the maintenance block and pump the brake lever until the piston makes contact with the block.
You can remove the block and clean the piston then apply a silicone oil to the side and push the piston back in.
Push back the pistons using the appropriate CMH tool.
Reinstall the block the other way round and repeat the process to clean and lubricate the other pistons.
